Publishing a Web Service as a Business Service

• A business entity containing business information for the Web service is published.
• An opened J2EE Engine Visual Administrator.

1. Choose Web Services Container → Runtime → Web Services.
2. Select your Web service and choose Publish.
   Tip

   A warning message is displayed, notifying you that choosing Publish restarts the application. If you want to continue, choose OK.

3. In the dialog window that is displayed, select a UDDI registry and choose OK.
   Tip

   If the WSD of the Web service is not published yet, a warning message is displayed notifying you to enter it manually. If you want to continue, choose Yes.

   The J2EE Engine Visual Administrator starts the UDDI client browser that guides you step-by-step through the process of publishing your Web service. The URL that is opened in the UDDI client browser window contains the fully qualified host name that includes the domain as well. Therefore, if the client cannot be opened from local computers and you are using a proxy, include the local domain in the browser exclude list. If you are using Internet Explorer, choose Tools → Internet Options → Connections → LAN Settings → Advanced → Exceptionsand enter the local domain name.

4. Enter the user name and password you created in Configuring the UDDI Client and UDDI Server .
5. Select a business entity and enter your data for the business service you want to publish.

   If the service has already been published, its tModel key is displayed. There are options to update it or publish it as a new service.

   You can enter the following data:

   1. Names in different languages
   2. Descriptions in different languages
   3. Categories used to classify the service
   4. Binding templates

      The UDDI-specific information for a binding template consists of descriptions of the template, the type and URL of the address point (the target address of the port), and information about the different instances. A separate screen configures the information about each instance.

6. Choose Publish to publish your Web service as a business service.
