Editing the Storage Properties of an Enterprise Bean

Use this procedure to manage the CMP fields of the entity bean or edit their find methods.

You must have a container managed entity bean loaded in the EJB JAR.

1. Open the Storage tab.
2. Manage the storage settings.
3. Save your changes.

Setting the CMP Fields

1. If you want to manage the CMP fields, open the CMP Fields tab.
2. From the listed storage settings in the EJB Field field, select one setting.
3. If you want this field to be managed by the container, select its corresponding checkbox in the Container-Managed row. The field will be stored.
4. You can enter a short description in the Description field.

Setting the Find Methods

1. Select a method from the Find Methods list. The local methods have a blue icon with a white letter L in front of their names. The remote methods have a red icon with a white letter R in front of their names.
2. The SELECT queries are listed in the EJB QL Query field, where you can change them.
3. You can add a description in the Description field.
