 Activating and Deactivating SQL TraceLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

SQL Trace is inactive by default. To use its functions, you must activate it manually. You can also disable it if required.

SQL Trace is available as a Web application, and is also integrated into Visual Administrator .

Procedure

You can activate or deactivate the SQL Trace using the following options:

  • SQL Trace application:
    1. Launch SQL Trace .
    2. Follow the link Switch on and off SQL Trace.
    3. Select the cluster node for which you want to activate or deactivate the trace.
    4. To switch the SQL Trace on, choose the SQL Trace ON pushbutton. To switch the SQL Trace off, choose the SQL Trace OFFpushbutton.
  • Visual Administrator:
    1. Start the Visual Administrator and log on to the J2EE Engine as a user from the administrator group.
    2. Go to the runtime screen of the Log Configurator Service on the server process for which you want to enable SQL Trace.
    3. To switch the SQL Trace on, choose the Enable SQL Trace pushbutton. To switch the SQL Trace off, choose the Disable SQL Trace pushbutton.
