Use

After full installation and before manual configuration, you can run the automated basic configuration for SLD. The automated configuration saves you time and manual steps.

Prerequisites

SLD post-installation steps are fulfilled. For more information, see Post-Installation Checklist .

Procedure

To carry out the automated configuration tasks required for your system, perform the following steps:

  1. Start the automated configuration tasks. For more information, see Functional Unit Configuration .
  2. Specify the SLD client user and password that resulted from the initial setup of the SLD.
  3. Specify if you want to use a remote SLD server or setup a local one.
    Note

    For some use cases you can only use a remote SLD server. In this case, you are not allowed to setup a local one.

  4. Choose Next.

    The steps are executed one after the other. You can check the process status for each step. If an error occurs, you have the following options:

    • You can retry the current step.
    • You can skip the current step.
    • You can cancel and restart the process.
      Note

      Once all steps have been executed, you receive a corresponding message. You can view a log for each step.
