Administration of Application Locking Service Using the Console

You can also manage the Application Locking service using shell commands. You can use this method as an alternative to the Visual Administrator.

Connect a Telnet client to the J2EE Engine as described in Connecting and Working Using Telnet and use the JUMP command to get a connection to a server process.

1. On the command line in the telnet console, enter man . All the shell commands groups and associated commands that are currently available to the shell environment are displayed.
2. To add the APPLOCKING shell commands group to the environment, enter add applocking .
3. Enter man again to display the list of commands available to the APPLOCKING group. They are the following:
   • SHOW_APPLOCKING_STAT
   • RESET_APPLOCKING_STAT
   • SHOW_OPEN_SESSIONS
   • RUN_APPLOCKING_TESTS
