Use

This procedure enables you to manage application statuses without restarting the corresponding service or the server on which they are located.

Prerequisites

You must have logged on to the J2EE Engine Visual Administrator. To find out how, see Logging on to SAP Engine .

You must also have selected for runtime management the Deploy service that is located on the server whose applications you want to administer. To find out how, see Accessing Components .

Features

You can choose which view to use to access the tree of the deployed applications. The view is managed by three buttons at the bottom of the Runtime panel:

  • Server - displays all deployed applications and the distribution of their components on the corresponding containers. They are grouped in a multilevel tree by:
    1. servers in the cluster
    2. containers
    3. applications and
    4. components.
  • Application - displays all deployed applications and the distribution of their components on the corresponding containers. They are grouped in a multilevel tree by:
    1. applications
    2. servers
    3. containers and
    4. components.
  • Container - displays all deployed applications and the distribution of their components on the corresponding containers. They are grouped in a multilevel tree by:
    1. containers
    2. servers
    3. applications and
    4. components.

The next table contains the icons that the Runtime panel uses for the different application statuses. The application statuses are described in more details in Application Statuses .
