You create an ATP group for the product availability check.

1. You maintain an ATP group in Customizing for the Advanced Planner and Optimizer via Global ATP ® Product Availability Check ® Maintain ATP Group.
2. Choose New entries.

You branch to the detail view.

3. Define a two-digit alphanumeric value for the ATP group.
4. Choose the relevant entry in the Cumulation field, if you want to carry out a shortage check.

If you choose No cumulation, the shortage check is not active.



In order that the shortage check gives consistent results, Availability check with cumulated, confirmed quantities must be activated in R/3 in the checking group. In R/3 Customizing for Sales and Distribution select Basic Functions ® Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements ® Availability Check ® Availability Check with ATP Logic or Against Planning ® Define Checking Groups.

5. Choose the relevant entry in the Reaction field (reaction to shortfall), if you want the system to display a message if a shortage exists when processing sales orders.

You can only use the indicator when cumulating confirmed quantities or requirement quantities.

6. Enter a short text (maximum 40 characters) for the ATP group.
7. Choose Save.
