Detecting Problem
Monitoring data is collected in the IT process Detecting Problem. This collection can occur both locally (in the monitored component itself and centrally in a corresponding monitoring system. A data supplier of this type collects relevant monitoring data, in accordance with its programming, such as the availability or response time of a component.

This process is automatically performed by the system after monitoring is set up. The user does not need to take any action.
This process is part of the following IT scenario:
IT Scenario |
Scenario Variant |

...
1. A data supplier collects the desired monitoring data.
2. This data is stored in shared memory.
3. Depending on the relevant settings, an alert is triggered if, for example, a threshold value is exceeded, or if a particular message occurs.
Both the monitoring data itself and an evaluation of this data in the form of alerts are now available in the monitoring infrastructure.
