Use

In the planning layout detail settings you are able to determine the sequence of characteristics in the header area, and configure the lead and data columns. Furthermore, you can select the display tool for previewing the planning layout in the next processing step.

Prerequisites

You have determined the basic settings for the planning layout (see Determining Basic Settings).

Procedure

The system dynamically offers you the tab pages on which you probably want to make changes. According to the layout type that you have chosen, enter the key figures that you are displaying in the planning layout and for which you want to enter plan data on either the Data Columns or Lead Columns tab page. In detail, you have the following options:

Tab page Header Area

Here you can change the order in which the system suggests characteristics in the header area are to be listed. In addition, you can decide whether each characteristic in the header area should be hidden or displayed in the output in the front end. In this way you can increase the visible area for data entry if the layout has a large number of header characteristics.

Tab page Data Columns

The structure of this table depends on the layout variants and the key figures and characteristics that you have chosen in the previous step when editing the planning layout:

·        For the layout variants key figures in data column and key figures in data column, rows defined individually you get one column for selecting the key figures.

If characteristics have also been selected for the data columns, an extra column appears for each characteristic. This has the name of the relevant characteristic as the title of the column.

·        For the layout variant key figures in lead column you get, for each characteristic, a column with the name of the respective characteristic as the title of the column.

In the fields for key figures, select the required key figures from those key figures that were included in the planning level. In the fields for characteristic values, determine these values either with fixed values or by variable replacement.

In the Heading column you are able to edit the heading of the data column. If no text has been determined for a column heading yet the system uses the name of the key figure or characteristic that you select.

If there are characteristics among those chosen for the data column for which an attribute for sign conversion has been determined, you get another column: sign attribute (see Automatic Sign Assignment).

Note

For more information, see Configuring Data Columns.

You can choose whether the layout should be displayed with the SAP List Viewer (ALV) or with Microsoft Excel using the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Display Tool function. In the third processing step different formatting options are available to you depending on the display tool (see Formatting the Generated Layout in the Preview ).

Tab page Lead Columns

The structure of this table depends on the layout variants that you have chosen in the previous step when editing the planning layout: You have to distinguish between the following cases (for the arrangement, see Planning Layout):

Simple lead column(s):Here you define the sequence of characteristics in the lead columns for the key figures in lead columnlayout variant. You also determine whether the characteristics are to be displayed with their technical name (key), their description, or a combination of both.

If attributes are defined for a characteristic you can choose, in the Attr. column, whether and for which attributes of the characteristics additional columns are to be created in the lead columns.  The system displays the relevant attribute values in these additional columns.

Complex lead column(s): The structure of this table depends on the layout variants and the key figures and characteristics that you have chosen in the previous step when editing the planning layout: Determine the characteristic values and, where appropriate, the key figures. This process is described in the section on the Data Columns tab page.

Result
