Data mining method: Scoring

Use

You use this data mining model to determine uplift factors that you can use in the SEM planning application Sales and Promotion Planning for the Consumer Products Industry. For more information on the planning application, please see the SAP Library under Business Planning and Simulation -> Planning Applications -> Customer Relationship Analytics -> Sales and Promotion Planning for the Consumer Products Industry.

You train the valuation functions first on historical data, then apply them to other datasets within the context of a prediction. In this way, you can determine what influence the category, tactic, and price reduction have on the uplift factor. You can then apply the trained function to a potential category, tactic, and price reduction to calculate possible uplift factors.

The query field with the calculated key figure is assigned to the model field when the data source is defined.
