  Settings for the CTP Process

Purpose

The section describes the settings you need to make to be able to work with CTP.

Prerequisites

You use SAP APO with an R/3 System. You have setup the CIF interface for the transfer of data between the two systems.

Process

  1. You maintain the Customizing settings for ATP and the planning strategy in the R/3 System.

  2. You create the necessary master data (master records, BOMs, routings, work centers) in the R/3 System.

  3. You transfer the ATP Customizing to SAP APO via the CIF interface.

  4. You transfer the master data to SAP APO via the CIF interface.

    • You complete the Customizing settings in SAP APO:ATP Customizing (check mode and check instructions)

    • PP/DS Customizing (strategy profile and planning procedure)

  5. You check and complete the product master.
