 Manually Enhancing DataSource 2LIS_11_VASCL

Use

If you work with SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package (EhP) 2 and enter order data from SAP ERP in order to enter historical data, you have to add the fields EZEIT and UEPOS to DataSource 2LIS_11_VASCL in the ERP system manually.

If you work with higher releases of SAP ERP, this manual enhancement is not required.

Procedure

  1. In Customizing in SAP ERP, choose Start of the navigation path Integration with Other mySAP Components Next navigation step Data Transfer to the SAP Business Information Warehouse Next navigation step Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (PI) Next navigation step Logistics Next navigation step Managing Extract Structures Next navigation step Logistics Extraction Structures Customizing Cockpit End of the navigation path .

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics applications Next navigation step 11 : SD Sales BW Next navigation step Extract structures End of the navigation path .

  3. Check whether DataSource 2LIS_11_VASCL is in active or inactive update mode.

    • If the DataSource is in inactive update mode, continue with step 4.

    • If the DataSource is in active update mode, proceed as follows:

      If you decide to transport these changes to your production system, ensure that there is no data to be updated at the time of the transport. To do so, proceed as follows:

      • If you use the Direct Delta update mode, call transaction RSA7 and empty the BW delta queue by requesting the data available here from within the BI system.

      • If you use the Delta queued update mode, call transaction SE38 and execute update report RMBWV311. Then call transaction RSA7 and empty the BW delta queue by requesting the data available here from within the BI system.

        Additionally, ensure that no new order data is generated at this time. To ensure that no new order data is generated either in the development or the production system, we recommend that you lock all users in the development system at the time of the DataSource enhancement, and all users in the development system and the production system at the time of the transport of the DataSource enhancement.

  4. Select structure maintenance for DataSource 2LIS_11_VASCL.

  5. Either create a new transfer order or select an existing transfer order with which to transfer the DataSource enhancement to your production system.

  6. A dialog box opens in which, on the left, you see the fields already contained in DataSource 2LIS_11_VASCL while on the right you see the fields which you can add to the DataSource.

    1. Select filter MCVBAP on the right and mark the entry MCVBAPUEPOS .

    2. Choose with quick info Choose.

    3. Select filter MCVBEP on the right and mark the entry MCVBEPEZEIT .

    4. Choose with quick info Choose .

    5. Choose Continue .

  7. Select the technical name of the DataSource to display the enhanced DataSource.

  8. Ensure that the following indicators are notset for the two newly added fields:

    • Hide field

    • Field only known in customer exit

  9. Save the DataSource.
