Function documentationDisplaying and Maintaining Data for Selected Location Products

 

This function lets you display and maintain data in the Selected Location Products screen. The system saves your changes in an order proposal item.

Integration

When you enter a value in a modifiable field for a location product, the system displays a save symbol in the changed line and updates the following screens:

  • Order Proposals for Location Product

    After you create and save a new order proposal or supplement and save an existing order proposal.

  • Time Series for Location Product

    After you enter an order proposal quantity for a location product (this starts a simulation).

  • Exceptions for the Location Product

    After you save, if the system generated exceptions for the location product.

  • F&R Application Log

    Shows any exceptions or information messages generated by the system, such as rounding information or details of location products with a temporary replenishment block.

Prerequisites

  • You have configured the settings for order proposal configuration in Customizing. In particular you have defined the lock types and lock characteristics, as well as the grouping criteria for order proposals and reasons for manual changes to order proposals.   • You have configured the settings for critical location products.

  • If you want to assign contracts to the location product, you have configured this in contract Customizing. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Start of the navigation path Forecasting and Replenishment Next navigation step Order Proposal Management Next navigation step Contracts Next navigation step Define Contracts End of the navigation path.

Features

  • You can display the following data for a selected location product, as well as change many of these values:

    • Information about classification as a critical location product

      The system flags critical location products and displays the underlying criteria.

    • Product number and product description

    • Destination location and description of destination location

    • Replenishment-relevant master data and transaction data

    • Contract information

      For more information, see Using Contract Information in Order Proposal Items.

    • Source of supply data (modifiable source location)

    You can modify the following fields to create a new order proposal item:

    • Order Proposal Quantity

    • Order Unit

    • Delivery Date

    • Relevance for Replenishment

    • Reason for Change

    • Contract Number (depending on contract Customizing)

Activities

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Forecasting and Replenishment Next navigation step Order Proposal Management Next navigation step Product Workbench End of the navigation path.

  2. You create a worklist and double-click location products (on different hierarchy levels) in the navigation tree to select them. The system displays the overview screen for the selected location products, along with the other subscreens with OP items (dependent on the last configuration used):

    • Time series

    • Exceptions

    • Restrictions

    • F&R application log (only if messages occur)

  3. Focus on a location product in the Selected Location Products section. The system displays the corresponding order proposals, time series, and exceptions in the corresponding screen sections.

  4. To change data for the location product, switch to change mode. You save the changes in a new order proposal item. The system offers any suitable order proposal items for selection. For more information, see Creating Order Proposal Items (PWB).
