Displaying and Changing of Results of Kit-to-Stock Planning
You can display the planning results of kit-to-stock planning in the DRP Matrix.
The system generates the following documents as a result of kit-to-stock planning:
Planned orders
If you selected internal kitting as the type of kitting, the system generates planned orders based on the required quantity of kits.
Production orders
After DRP has generated a planned order, DRP transfers the order to SAP ERP. In SAP ERP, you generate a production order from the planned order. SAP ERP returns this production order to DRP for display.
Note
To generate a production order from a planned order, proceed as follows:
On the SAP Easy Access
screen in SAP ERP, choose (alternatively, call transaction MD04
).
Specify the product and location for which DRP has generated a planned order and choose Continue
.
In the Addl Function
column and the row of your planned order, choose Element Details
. A dialog box appears.
Choose Prod. Ord
.
Enter the header data for the production order and save your entry.
Subcontracting purchase requisitions
If you selected external kitting as the type of repair, DRP generates subcontracting purchase requisitions based on the required quantity of kits.
Subcontract orders
After DRP has generated a subcontracting purchase requisition, DRP transfers the requisition to SAP ERP. SAP ERP generates a subcontract order from the subcontracting purchase requisition and returns the subcontract order to be displayed in DRP.
You can display the results of kit-to-stock planning in the DRP Matrix. To access the DRP Matrix
screen, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose.
The system displays kit demand and stock in the same way as for other location products. For more information about this, see DRP Matrix.
The system displays receipts of kits in the following key figures of the DRP Matrix:
Products Rcpt (Kit-to-Stk/Rep, Not Froz)
In this key figure, DRP displays the quantity of kits contained in planned orders and subcontract orders that can still be changed.
Products Rcpt (Kit-to-Stk/Repair, Froz)
In this key figure, DRP displays the following quantities of kits:
Kits contained in planned orders and purchase requisitions that can no longer be changed. This includes, for example, subcontracting purchase requisitions that you created manually in SAP ERP.
Note
DRP generates subcontracting purchase requisitions with one item only. However, you can also create subcontracting purchase requisitions with multiple items manually in SAP ERP. DRP takes these subcontracting purchase requisitions into account but does not change them.
Production orders and subcontract orders
The receipts displayed by the system in these DRP Matrix key figures are also contained in the DRP Matrix key figure Total Gross Receipt (Confirmed)
.
The system displays the aggregated number of dependent demands for a kit in the DRP Matrix key figure Dependent Demand
