 Creating a DataSource in SAP ERP

  1. In the ERP system, call up the cross-client transaction RSO2 and create a DataSource.

  2. To do so, choose the Master Data Attributes radio button, enter the name of the DataSource and choose Create.

  3. Specify application component PM-IO as well as the database view from which the system is supposed to extract data into the DataSource and choose Extraction from View.

    Enter the following:

    Applic. Component. : PM-IO

    View/Table : ZEQ_BOM

  4. Save your entries.

  5. Set the fields you wish to include in the DataSource, and set the flag in the Selection column.

    In the Selection column, set the flag for the following fields:

    EQUNR – Equipment

    STLNR – BOM

    MEINS – Component unit

    MENGE – Quantity

    IDNRK – Component

  6. In the ERP system, in the client that contains the equipment data, call up transaction RSA2 to display and check the DataSource.

    1. In the DataSource field, enter the created DataSource and choose Display.

    2. Choose with the quick info text Check . Check the messages and select Back .

    3. Choose with the quick info text Extractor Checker.

    4. To start the extraction, choose Extraction .

    5. To display the list of extracted data, choose Display List.
