Creating an Assembly for a Material You have created a material master for the material for which you want to create an assembly.
Load the material, for which you want to create an assembly, in the navigation area.
Right-click on the material (
) and choose
Create Assembly
in the context menu.
The
Create
Assembly Header
dialog box appears.
Enter the plant and usage, the assembly group, assembly header and assembly alternative.

If you do not enter an assembly group, assembly header, and assembly alternative, the system determines the keys automatically.
Choose
OK
.
The assembly group (
), the assembly header (
), and assembly alternative (
) are displayed in the navigation area.
The
header data
for the assembly group is displayed in the upper part of the detail area.
The system displays tab pages for the assembly group in the lower section of the screen.
If you want to use a change number to maintain the assembly items, enter a change number.
On the
Assembly Items
tab page, enter the assembly items with the materials that make up the material in the assembly header.
If you have not yet created a material master for the materials, the
Create Basic Data
dialog box appears.
You can go to the material master by choosing
Yes
and entering the necessary data. You can go back to the maintenance for the assembly items by saving your entries.
Enter the quantity of the material and choose
Continue
.
Enter assembly items for the other materials to be included in the assembly.
Save your entries.
