Shipment Assignment Status of Advanced Shipping Notifications

The Shipment Assignment field at header level of advanced shipping notifications (ASNs) allows you to track whether an ASN has been assigned to a shipment. The Shipment Assignment field can have the following values:

Value	Description
Not Relevant	The ASN is not relevant for shipments. This value is automatically assigned by the system when the ASN is created. The system assigns such a value if you have configured SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) in such a way that ASNs are not considered for shipment assignments. For more information, see Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration under Delivery Shipment Define Settings for ASN Assignments to Shipments .
Not Assigned	The ASN is relevant for shipments, but has not yet been assigned. This value is automatically assigned by the system when the ASN is created. The system assigns such a value if you have configured SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) in such a way that ASNs are considered for shipment assignments. For more information, see Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration under Delivery Shipment Define Settings for ASN Assignments to Shipments .
Assigned	The ASN is assigned to a shipment. The system assigns this value to an ASN when the ASN is assigned to a shipment and the shipment is saved as a draft or published.
(Empty)	This is the status of all ASNs that were created before the activation of the business function Supply Network Collaboration 1 (SCM_SNC_GEN_1). The system treats ASNs with this status as if they had the status Not Assigned.

You can view the shipment assignment of an ASN on the ASN Overview screen and on the Shipping Details tab page of the ASN Details screen.

To use this function, you must activate the business function Supply Network Collaboration 1 (SCM_SNC_GEN_1).
