Scheduling Mode You use the settings in the
strategy profile
and the
resource
to define how the system behaves during scheduling.
You must make the following settings for the system to carry out bucket-oriented scheduling .
You are using the scheduling mode
Search for Bucket with Free Capacity
and define
Bucket Capacity
as the
finite capacity
in the strategy profile.
You can also define the finite capacity by entering Bucket Capacity as a finite capacity or using the setting As Specified in the Resources . In this case, you must enter B ucket Capacity as the finite capacity for the resource for which you want to carry out a bucket-oriented capacity check.
The resources for which
Time-Continuous Capacity
is defined as the
finite capacity
are scheduled infinitely with the scheduling mode
Search for Bucket with Free Capacity
.
The system can also carry out a bucket-oriented capacity check when using the planning strategy
Find Gap
. The system carries out scheduling as follows, depending on whether the parameter
Finite Capacity
is set at the resource and in the strategy profile:
If you have chosen the setting
Bucket Capacity
in the
Finite Capacity
field in the strategy profile, the system carries out a
bucket-oriented capacity check
for all finite resources with PP/DS bucket capacity. Resources without PP/DS bucket capacity are scheduled infinitely.
If you have chosen the setting
As Specified in the Resources
in the
Finite Capacity
field in the strategy profile, the system also carries out bucket-oriented capacity scheduling for resources with the
finite capacity
Bucket Capacity
.
If you have chosen the setting
Time-Continuous Capacity
in the
Finite Capacity
field in the strategy profile, then all affected finite resources are scheduled finitely on a time-continuous basis.
