Procedure documentationConfiguring the CIF Monitor Display in CCMS in a Cust.-Spec. Way

You can configure what information is displayed in the CIF monitor in the Computer Center Management System (CCMS) and how this information is displayed in a customer-specific way as follows:

  • You can exclude individual SAP APO clients from monitoring.

  • You can specify the age from which the system displays comparison results for monitoring the CIF comparison/reconciliation of transaction data. By default the monitor displays all comparison results that are older than seven days.

Prerequisites

The startup method CCMS_CIF_STARTUP has been executed. For more information, see Reset Segment to WARMUP Status.

This startup method automatically executes the following steps:

  • Creates the data collection methods for each client: CMS_CIF_COLLECTOR_<client>

  • Creates the data analysis methods for each client:

    • CCMS_SCM_CCRR_ANALYSIS_<client> (start transaction /SAPAPO/CCRR)

    • CCMS_SCM_CCR_ANALYSIS_<client> (start transaction /SAPAPO/CCR)

    • CCMS_SCM_CPPR_ANALYSIS_<client> (start transaction /SAPAPO/CPPR)

    • CCMS_SCM_CPP_ANALYSIS_<client> (start transaction /SAPAPO/CPP)

  • Creates RFC connections for each client (<system ID>_<client>@CIF_CCMS, for example AP8_000@CIF_CCMS)

You do not need to make any further settings for the data collection and data analysis methods.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction RZ21.

The Monitoring: Attributes and Methods screen appears.

  2. In the Methods section of the screen, choose the radio button Method Definitions and the pushbutton Display Overview.

The system displays an overview of the method definitions.

  3. Select the first of the data collection methods named above and choose Edit Data.

  4. Choose the change mode.

  5. Choose the Parameters tab page and change the parameter values for the following parameters:

    • CLIENT_EXCL

Clients that you enter here are excluded from monitoring. If you want to exclude multiple clients, separate them with a semi-colon or blank, (for example 000;006).

    • CCR_AGE_LIMIT

This parameter refers to the node Number of Results Over Age Limit under the node CIF Compare/Reconcile. Here you specify the age in days from which the comparison results of the CIF comparison/reconciliation are to be displayed. If you enter 9, for example, the monitor displays all the comparison results that are older than nine days.

  6. Make these changes in all available data collection methods. If you do not change a parameter value for only one data collection method, the system does not take into account this change.

  7. You can include additional SAP APO and ERP systems in the monitoring.

These systems are automatically integrated in the monitor. For more information, see Registering SAP NetWeaver Components and Hosts in CEN.
