 Displaying DRP Results

Use

As a distribution requirements planning (DRP) planner, you can either approve or reject the DRP planning results for which you are responsible. To help you make this decision, the Business Intelligence system (BI system) in SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) prepares the DRP planning results in various reports. You, as planner, can then not only see the products or location products for which DRP plans scheduling agreements and purchase orders, but also the monetary value that approving these results has as a result.

To get to the reports, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step Planning Next navigation step Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) Next navigation step DRP Approval Next navigation step DRP Mass Approval End of the navigation path .

Features

The system displays the DRP planning results in a report. The results are grouped by calendar week and entry location product. You can also include other characteristics in your report, such as supplier, or filter according to these characteristics.

Note Note

When displaying the characteristic Day / Overdue , the system only displays the date values of the schedule lines that lie in the future, unlike the characteristic Calendar Day . The system summarizes the overdue schedule line in the Overdue row. To use this functions, you must set the Show Overdue Documents as “Overdue” indicator in the Make General Settings for DRP Approval Parameter IMG activity.

The system displays the following information in the report:

  • Number of scheduling agreement schedule lines that the system created when approving the DRP planning results per location product.

  • Quantity of entry location products that the system orders or calls when approving the DRP planning results.

  • Complete change of monetary value that occurred per entry location product when the DRP planning results were approved.

    You can also see the value changes for the individual DRP planning horizons . The system displays the following information for the displayed DRP planning horizons:

    • Value change that occurred due to the newly created schedule lines.

    • Value change that occurred due to changes to existing schedule lines.

    • Value change that occurred to deleted schedule lines.

  • Previous demand per entry location product for the current period.

  • Forecasted demand per entry location product for the current period.

You can display the following reports:

DRP Run and Biggest Changes (According to Selection)

On the DRP Mass Approval screen in the Selection of DRP Results (External Procurement Documents) , you can specify the selection criteria for which you want to display the DRP results. You have the following selection options:

  • If you specify a product selection, the system displays the DRP planning results for all selected products.

  • If you specify a selection of entry locations, the system displays the DRP results of all location products at this entry location.

  • If you specify a selection of suppliers, the system displays the DRP results of all location products of these suppliers.

  • If you want to select by product group, the system displays the DRP results of the location products that belong to the specified product group and group type.

  • If you specify a purchasing organization, the system displays the DRP results of the location products that belong to this purchasing organization.

If you specify a combination of the selection criteria described above, the system displays all DRP planning results that correspond to the intersection of the specified selection criteria.

Note Note

The prerequisite for the system to display all of the planning results described above is that you are assigned to all selected location products as the DRP planner. For more information about planners in Service Parts Planning (SPP), see Assigning Planners in Service Parts Planning .

When you have specified the required selection criteria, choose the View DRP Results or the View Biggest Changes pushbutton.

  • If you choose View DRP Results , the report contains all DRP results that correspond to your selection and to which you are assigned as DRP planner.

  • If you choose Display Biggest Changes , the report contains the 10 DRP results with the biggest total change value. These results are taken from all DRP results that correspond to your selection criteria.

DRP Run and Biggest Changes for the Active Version and for All Versions

You can display the following DRP results for the active version or for all versions (such as also for simulation versions):

  • You can display all DRP planning results for the location products to which you are assigned as DRP planner. To do so, choose DRP Run (active Version) or DRP Run (all Versions) in the navigation tree on the left.

  • You can only display the 10 results with the biggest total change value from all DRP planning results for location products to which you are assigned as DRP planner. To do so, choose Biggest Changes (active Version) or Biggest Changes (all Versions) in the navigation tree on the left.
