  Settings for the Bucket-Oriented Capacity Check

Purpose

This process describes which settings you need to make to use the bucket-oriented capacity check in the CTP check.

Prerequisites

  • You have created the resource to be checked.

  • You have created a production data structure (PDS) and a production process model using the APO Core Interface .

Process

  1. You create the PP/DS bucket for the resource to be checked by specifying the parameters for the PP/DS bucket capacity in the resource maintenance. See also: Define Parameters for PP/DS Bucket Capacity

  2. You enter the resource to be checked as a primary resource in PPM/PDS in the activity mode, and set the Calendar Resource indicator. This is a prerequisite for the resource to be used in the bucket-oriented capacity check. See also: Settings in PPM/PDS

  3. You define how the system takes into account the sequence-dependent setup activities for the capacity check. See also: Taking Into Account Sequence-Dependent Setup Activities

  4. You check the strategy profile SAP_BCTP or you create a new strategy profile, if necessary.

  5. You define the material/capacity and time buffer , if required.
