EDQA Event: Quantity Assignment to Order Due Lists
Event-driven quantity assignment (EDQA) uses this process to assign a new quantity or a quantity that has become available to order due lists (ODL) with items that require a confirmation. For more information, see Order Due Lists.
You have made all the settings for the quantity assignment to order due lists (QODL) event in Customizing for SAP SCM under .
If you want the system to also confirm substitutions that are not represented as items in an ODL but were determined for items from an ODL as part of backorder processing using the rules-based availability check, set the Rule Evaluation (Again)
indicator
for the QODL event in the BOP variant. For more information, see Rule Evaluation (Again) in Backorder Processings.
You have made the standard settings for the SAP Business Workflow.
For more information, see Customizing for SAP SCM under .
If you want the Change Stock Data
event to trigger the QODL event, you use SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) release 6.0 or higher as the OLTP system.
One of the following activities triggers the QODL event:
Changing the purchase order document
A quantity release in the sales order
Changing the stock data
The system determines items in an ODL that require a confirmation.
The system performs backorder processing for the items. It determines and confirms the items. For more information, see Backorder Processing.
The system updates the items in the OLTP system.
Note
If you change an item in a document manually after quantity assignment and before the update in the OLTP system, the system does not adopt the backorder processing results for this item. The same applies to items that have been delivered partially or in full.
If you have activated push deployment in Customizing for the QODL event, the system releases the remaining quantity from the quantity assignment to ODL items for the push deployment.
For more information about push deployment, see Deployment Modes.
