EDQA Event: Backorder Processing
Event-driven quantity assignment (EDQA) automatically starts backorder processing if one of the following changes occurs:
Changing the purchase order document
A quantity release in the sales order
Changing the stock data
Changing the sales document
Changing the refurbishment order
Changing the planned order
You have made all the settings for the process category of the backorder processing
event in Customizing for EDQA.
Recommendation
SAP recommends setting up a process start delay for the backorder processing
event. The backorder processing started by EDQA selects items from the complete dataset. This selection can have a negative effect on performance. If you set up a process start delay,
the system only takes account of the changes up until the process start time after changes have occurred that lead to the process start.
