Definition of Query View Hierarchies
You can use this function to set up query view hierarchies that you can find on the Query Views
accordion of the side panel. You can create a query view hierarchy based on the context
key. You can display the query view hierarchy on the Query Views
accordion of the side panel, by choosing .
You can define a query view hierarchy only if the following applies:
You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:
In the Role Maintenance
(PFCG) transaction, you are assigned to the BCV User
(SAP_BCV_USER
) role.
On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the BCV User
(com.sap.pct.bs_fnd.BCV_USR
) role.
You have set up query views or use the ones predefined by SAP.

You can define a query view hierarchy in the following ways:
In the configuration center, choose Define Query View Hierarchies

Recommendation
Using the configuration center is the recommended approach to making configuration settings in BCV. You should use Customizing only in exceptional cases. For more information, see Configuration Center.
You can assign groups, subgroups and query views to the query view hierarchy, by choosing Add
, and then the type of object you want to assign.
You can delete the objects you assigned, by choosing Delete
.
