Restriction Profiles

The restriction profile determines the minimum quantity, multiples, or discount scales for an order proposal.

You can use restriction parameters to define the minimum quantity, weight, volume, or price an order proposal must have.

Integration

You assign the restriction profile to the transportation lane for subranges. On the SAP Easy Access screen, you choose Start of the navigation path Forecasting and Replenishment Next navigation step Master Data Supply Network Maintain Transportation Lane for Subranges End of the navigation path .

Features

You can choose whether you want the restriction check to use the gross weight or the net weight.

You can define two independent restriction checks:
- Main restriction check
  This minimum restriction refers to a minimum quantity, weight, price, or volume.
- Additional restriction check
  You can set either a minimum restriction or a restriction for multiples or discount scales here. This restriction also refers to a quantity, weight, price, or volume.
  
  Note
  You can perform a check of the additional restriction even if you have not defined a main restriction. For more information, see Restriction Check During Automatic Replenishment Planning.

To maintain restriction profiles, go to the SAP Easy Access screen and choose Start of the navigation path Forecasting and Replenishment Next navigation step Requirement Quantity Optimization Maintain Restriction Profile End of the navigation path .

Example

Example 1

You can select the restriction category Minimum restriction for both restriction checks, once for a fixed unit of measure, for example, box and once for the price.

Example 2

You cannot define a restriction check for minimum order quantities, instead you should select the restriction category Multiple.

Example 3

For the first restriction check you can define a minimum quantity and discount scales.
