Hierarchy: Changing the
Display
You can change the display of the hierarchy in both display and maintain modes. You have the following options:
You can refresh the display to show any changes made to the hierarchy caused by changes to the graphic by other users or by your own Data Modeler calls by choosing Edit → Refresh. The new display corresponds to the current state in the database.
If you want to see any objects located below a submodel (that is, objects assigned to the data model), proceed as follows:
1. Position the cursor on the name of the data model.
2. Choose Edit → Expand subtree.
Alternatively, you can click on the symbol to the left of the data model name.
If you do not want to see any objects located below a submodel (that is, objects assigned to the data model), proceed as follows:
3. Position the cursor on the name of the data model.
4. Choose Edit → Compress subtree.
Alternatively, you can click on the symbol to the left of the data model name.
If you want another data model to become the root of the display, so that you can display or edit the objects located below it, proceed as follows:
5. Position the cursor on the data model that is to become the new root of the display.
6. Choose Edit → Set Focus.
A line appears above the new display, showing the path from the root of the previous display to the new root.
You can turn it into the root of the display by double-clicking on one of the path definitions.
