Object documentationForecast Analysis Profile

A profile for specifying settings for a forecast analysis run.

You use this object to make the settings necessary for performing an analysis of customer forecast data before releasing it to Demand Planning. You can define the profile in Customizing. For more information, see Customizing for Demand Planning under Start of the navigation path Customer Forecast Management Next navigation step Define Profiles and Settings for Customer Forecast Management End of the navigation path.

You assign forecast analysis profiles to location product master data on a product level or on a product group level.

Structure

The profile contains the following data:

  • Parameters for a forecast tolerance check

You can set upper and lower limits for a tolerance check for three different horizons and activate or deactivate each of the horizons.

  • A time buckets profile for the horizons used in the tolerance check

To ensure consistency, first you define the length of the complete horizon and a basic display periodicity valid for all three horizons. However, you can also define length and display periodicity values for each of the three horizons, which can be either the same or higher than the one for the complete horizon.

  • Parameters for a frequency check and the expected horizon of forecast

  • Parameter for whether a manual review of forecast data is mandatory

  • Parameter for whether the system should use a new original customer forecast for the initialization of the adjusted customer forecast or should keep the previous adjusted customer forecast.

  • Parameter for the forecast data version to be used as the current version during the forecast analysis run.

You can set either the last closed version or the open version as the current version.
