
Transfer In / Out in Tax Reporter
Use
When parts of the employee population are paid outside of the SAP payroll system, it is sometimes necessary to transfer payroll information between systems. For this reason, SAP Payroll and US Tax Reporting components have functionality built in to facilitate this process of "transfer in and out" (i.e., transfer into SAP Payroll/ transfer out of SAP Payroll). The transfer in/out functionality facilitates the loading and reloading of data for an employee transferring in and excluding employees from tax reporting when they are transferred out of the SAP system. The main principle behind transfer-in/out is that for tax reporting purposes, the system in which the employee is active at the end of the reporting period, is the one that reports tax data to the appropriate tax authorities.
