Connecting to the R/3 System 
Use
You use this procedure to connect to the R/3 System.
To be able to source-control Internet Transaction Server (ITS)
files in the R/3 Repository, you must connect to an R/3 System. The SAP@Web Studio allows you to predefine R/3 System and user logon information for each R/3 System to which you want to connect.
- R/3 System information includes system ID, host and message server
- User logon information includes client, user name, password, and language
Prerequisites
You must have a user in the R/3 System to which you are connecting.
Procedure

Connect to R/3.You see the Select R/3 System dialog box.
Select an R/3 System, and choose Logon.
- If you are connecting to this R/3 System for the first time, you see a dialog box for entering logon information.
- Enter the logon information as required, including client, user, password and language.
- If you want the SAP@Web Studio to remember your password, select Save Password.
If you do this, the SAP@Web Studio stores encrypts your password internally. This means that when you logon again, you do not have to enter your password.
- Choose OK.
The SAP@Web Studio stores the information you have entered for future reference.
- If you have already entered the required logon information for this R/3 system and asked the SAP@Web Studio to save your password, you do not see a logon screen at all.
Editing R/3 Logon Information
If you want to change the logon information for a particular R/3 System.
- Choose Tools
®
Repository
®
Connect to R/3.
You see the Select R/3 System dialog box.
Choose Edit User Logon.
Enter logon information as required, including client, user, password and language.
If you want the SAP@Web Studio to remember your password, select Save Password.
To delete information you have already entered at any time, choose Delete.
Choose OK.
Result
When you connect to an R/3 System as described above, the SAP@Web Studio logs you on and displays all source-controlled services in the Workspace – Repository View.
