Specifying the Active ITS Service

Use

You use this procedure to specify the active Internet Transaction Server (ITS) service, so that the SAP@Web Studio knows which files to publish.

If you have created more than one service in the current project, it is important to do this, because the Build Service and Start Service functions in the SAP@Web Studio publish toolbar always operate on the currently active service:

The Build Service function publishes the files that make up the service to the active ITS site

The Start Service function publishes the files that make up the service to the active ITS site and starts the service

Procedure

There are two ways you can specify the active service.

Either:

Select the service you want to activate in the Workspace – Project View and right-click.
Choose Set Active Service.

Or:

Choose Project ® Set Active Service.

The SAP@Web Studio displays a submenu of services in the current project.

If it is not already selected, select the desired service.

If the desired service is already selected and you select it again, the service is no longer active, but no other service is active either.

Result

The SAP@Web Studio:

Highlights the selected service in the Workspace – Project View
Applies all subsequent file publishing initiated by choosing the Build Service and Start Service functions to that service
