To be able to use CATS notebook, you must set up the Cross-Application Time Sheet in SAP R/3 using the Implementation Guide (IMG). Specific settings in Customizing for the Cross-Application Time Sheet, however, are not required or are only partly necessary for CATS notebook (see Specific Settings for CATS notebook).

We recommend that you implement the CATS classic user interface in SAP R/3 completely. Proceed as follows:

  1. Make the necessary settings for the following sections in the Implementation Guide (IMG), under Cross-Application Components ® Time Sheet:
  1. Make the specific settings for CATS notebook.
