This iView enables you to enter your current tasks or working times immediately. It is primarily intended as an enhancement for recording and postprocessing working times with other user interfaces of the Time Sheet.

The Record Working Times iView (CATS instant) is aimed primarily at users who have to record billable tasks. It is important that these users can record the time they have spent on individual tasks accurately, and at several times during the day, if necessary. This iView enables users to record their working times easily and quickly.

You receive a worklist for recording tasks from which you can choose your account assignment object. However, unlike with the other user interfaces of the Time Sheet, you cannot record all account assignment objects. In this iView, the following objects are available only:

• Receiver cost object
• Network with operation/suboperation
• Internal order
• Receiver order with operation/suboperation
• Receiver sales order
• Receiver business process
• Receiver WBS element
• Receiver cost center

You can only select one account assignment object. You cannot assign two objects (for example, network and receiving cost center). If one row in the worklist contains more than one account assignment object, the system only selects one object. The system selects objects in the order shown above. In addition to account assignment objects, you can also specify an activity type.

The system proposes the current date as the date of entry. However, you can enter a different date.

In the Note field, you can enter additional information on a data record. The text may not exceed more than 40 characters. This text is stored in the database table of the Time Sheet (CATSDB) in the LTXA1 (Short Text) field.

You can enter information for Time Management in the Attendance/Absence Type entry. You can also simply use this iView as a time recording system without the worklist.

Use one of the following user interfaces for the Time Sheet if you want to postprocess or release data:

• CATS regular
• CATS classic

If you only want to record your time worked and no account assignment information, you can also use the Clock-In/Clock-Out iView.
