Concurrent Employment (PA-CE)

Group of personnel assignments of a concurrently employed person that is assigned the same grouping value for the XXNT grouping reason (Net, Retroactive Accounting, Payment).

A net grouping includes all personnel assignments of an employee that belong to the same employer. SAP R/3 uses this grouping, for example, in Payroll for the functions XNET (Calculation of Net Amount), XPAY (Determining Payments), XRETR (Retroactive Accounting), and XWPBP (Compare WPBP Splits for Concurrent Employment). Since the employer is defined differently according to country version in SAP R/3, the net grouping can be different from country to country.

Examples

In many country versions, the employer is defined in SAP R/3 by the legal person who is assigned to the respective personnel area in Customizing. In this case, all personnel assignments of a concurrently employed person that are assigned to the same legal person by personnel area belong to the same net grouping.

In the USA, the employer is defined by the Employer Identification Number that is assigned to the respective personnel area in Customizing. In this case, all personnel assignments of a concurrently employed person that are assigned the same Employer Identification Number by personnel area belong to the same net grouping.
