With this function 
you receive a preview of the report list, without having to load data in the report. This is handy for getting an idea of how the report will appear on the screen, as well as when no data is available or when loading the data would be too time-consuming.
In the report list, you can switch between the detail list and the drilldown list. In contrast to the function
Execute Report, you do not have to enter values in the report parameters for the layout display, as the system does not perform data selection. For the same reason, the layout display function displays existing navigation characteristics although navigation is not actually possible.
