Checking Data and Processing Messages

Use

You can use this procedure to check for errors in the time sheet before saving new or changed data.

Procedure

Choose Check in the data entry area. CATS for service providers checks the data. If information messages, warning messages, or error messages were issued, CATS for service providers outputs a message log for the checked data.

You do not need to change the data records for information messages.
With warning messages, you can save the checked data without changing it. You can decide yourself whether it is necessary to change the data.
With error messages, you cannot save the checked data. You must first correct the errors. If you are unable to correct the data that caused the error, you must delete the faulty data record before you can save.

Nota

Follow-on errors may result in multiple messages for a single faulty data record. CATS for service providers may therefore remove more than one message from the log when you correct an error.
