Saving Data

Use

The user interface includes a function for saving data. CATS notebook saves data in the offline database tables on the notebook’s hard disk and transfers it to SAP R/3 when the notebook is next synchronized.

Integration

If you change data records in SAP R/3 that have already been synchronized, these records are transferred to CATS notebook during the next synchronization and are saved on the notebook in their current status. You should, however, take note of the exceptions, which are described under Handling of Conflicts.

CATS notebook automatically saves data when you run data synchronization.

Features

CATS notebook always saves all data that you have entered, changed, or deleted since the last time data was saved. no matter what data is displayed in the data entry area at the time of saving

Therefore, if you enter data for more than one data entry period and save the data afterwards, CATS notebook will save the data in all data entry periods. Nevertheless, we recommend that you save regularly when entering large amounts of data.
