Use
You can use CATS for service providers to enter both your own working times and activities and working times of another employee.
Features
You enter working times for individual task components of a particular task type. Through the task level, CATS for service providers derives information for each task component that is needed for further processing of the data in other components of SAP R/3. For more information, see
Task Type, Component, and Level.The derived information is known as
working time attributes. This information can vary from company to company and also between task types and their task levels and components. Which data should be entered depends on the data entry profile used.In contrast to the other user interfaces, CATS for service providers determines the data entry profile to be used only when data is entered, based on the task type and the organizational assignment of the employee. It then adapts the data entry area accordingly. For this reason, you must define the relationship between task types and data entry profiles in the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Cross-Application Components ® Time Sheet ® Specific Settings for CATS for service providers ® Assign Data Entry Profile to Task Type.
In the data entry area, CATS for service providers provides a certain selection of task components for each task type. You can make the corresponding settings in the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Cross-Application Components ® Time Sheet ® Specific Settings for CATS for Service Providers ® Set Up Data Entry Table.
