Data entry in CATS notebook consists of the following steps:

Selecting a Data Entry Period

Selecting Working Time Attributes

Entering Times

Deleting Times

Copying or Moving Rows

Using the Detail View

Entering Long Texts

Nota

Note: CATS notebook runs on a Web browser, which means that some of the keys on your keyboard are used for your browser’s functions and not CATS notebook functions.

The F1 key does not call up field help.

To access picklists in CATS notebook, you choose

not the F4 key.

The ENTER key performs different functions depending on the Web browser. Do not choose ENTER after entering data in CATS notebook.

The tabulator key sets the focus on the next interactive element of the HTML user interface. Interactive elements include hyperlinks and pushbuttons, as well as input fields. This restricts how you can use the tabulator key in CATS notebook.

You are recommended to use the mouse as much as possible for CATS notebook.
