You plan inspections that accompany production, in a routing with reference to the operation that is affected. If several individual inspections are to be carried out during the operation, you can use inspection points to add more detail.

Inspection points are freely defined reference objects for entering inspection results below operation level. To define inspection points you use one of the following references:

With time-related intervals you can define whether only one quantity is entered per partial lot, or whether the quantities of the individual inspection points are added together.

If you do not enter any data for field combinations and partial lot assignment the Customizing settings for quality management apply.

For each respective step in the operations for the routing you define,

You can transfer the quantity of the last partial lot to inventory management via order confirmation, where it is used as a default value for goods receipt.
