You have functions for the following activities at your disposal to edit the budget structure in the FM area/fiscal year, in Funds Management Government Customizing:

• Conversion of an FM area to BS processing
• Change of the BS as part of the master data processing conversion to year-dependency
• Delete a BS

If you have not yet worked with budget objects or posting objects and want to do so in future, then you can use the IMG activity Generate budget structure to generate a budget structure from already budgeted and posted funds centers and commitment items.

When you start the program the following things take place for an FM area:

• all budgeting FM account assignment are marked as budget objects
• all FM account assignments posted to are marked as budget objects

If you have processed the master data as year-independent to date and are converting to year-dependent master data processing, you must carry out Customizing step Conversion to year-dependency as part of the conversion operations: Execute Copy BS Yearly

The program executes the change from an existing year-independent BS to a year-dependent BS. You must then create a new BS for each new fiscal year.

If you have been working with budget and posting objects and do not want to do so in future, then use IMG activity Delete budget structure to delete all the budget and/or posting objects from a budget structure.
