Use

You can assign the following dependency types to a characteristic value:

Once you have assigned dependencies to a characteristic value, the system selects the O indicator.

Global Dependencies for a Characteristic Value

To assign global dependencies, which you have defined in the variant configuration menu, to a characteristic value:

  1. Select the characteristic value to which you want to assign dependencies.
  2. Choose Extras ® Object dependencies ® Assignments.
  3. On the assignment screen, enter the name of your dependency.
  4. To display the source code of the dependency, choose Goto ® Dependency editor.

    Note

    You can also create global object dependencies directly from the assignment screen of a characteristic. To do this, choose Edit ® New dependency ® Global.

  5. Confirm your entry and return to the allowed values screen.

Local Dependencies for a Characteristic Value

  1. Select the characteristic value to which you want to assign dependencies.
  2. Choose Extras ® Object dependencies ® Editor.
  3. You see a dialog box from which you select a dependency type.

  4. You see the editor, where you can enter the source code for your dependency.
  5. Save your source code.

You see the Allowed Values screen again.

Note

If you want to create additional local dependencies for your characteristic value, choose Extras ® Object dependencies ® Assignment, then Edit ® New dependencies ® Local.
