Maintaining Dependencies for a Characteristic Value
Use
You can assign the following dependency types to a characteristic value:
Once you have assigned dependencies to a characteristic value, the system selects the O indicator.

- Do not assign preconditions to the values of restrictable characteristics. Preconditions and restrictable characteristics are two fundamentally different concepts for managing the allowed values of a characteristic. The two concepts cannot be used together.
- You cannot use dependencies for the nodes of a value hierarchy. Only assign dependencies to values on the lowest level of the hierarchy, which do not have subordinate values.
