Use

Planner profiles are used to control the planning process. They are structured hierarchically. In a planner profile, you specify which planning layout will be used for each planning area (costs/revenues, balance sheet accounts, or statistical key figures).

The planning layouts are assigned to lines of the planner profile. You can create any number of lines for each planning area. The order of these lines determines the order in which a user working with this planner profile receives the planning layouts. It is also possible to enter the same layout in different lines, but specify different parameters each time.

Example

Planner profile PROFILE1 is assigned to the planning area "Costs/revenues". It contains two lines, each of which has planning layout PL01.

In line one, the planning layout contains version 1, while in line two it contains version 2.

In planning, the user working with this planning layout can use the functions Next layout and Previous layout to scroll back and forth between these layouts.

Note

You can only plan using planning layouts if you work with a planner profile.

Features

You can specify the following in a planner profile:

For users who always work with the same planner profile, you can specify this in their user parameters using the parameter ID PPP. You do this by choosing System ® User profile ® Own data.

For more information about defining planner profiles, see Customizing.

Standard Planner Profiles

The following planner profiles are predefined in the standard R/3 System:

For a list of the planning layouts contained in these profiles, see the section Standrad Layouts for Plan Data.
