Detail Screens for a Class Item
If the header material of a BOM has a material type which supports configuration, you can enter a class in the BOM as a Class item. See
Class Items.When you create a class item, you enter a class type to define the reference to an object (material master or document info record). You also enter a Resulting item category for a class item (for example, variable-size item) to control the screen sequence and structure (for example, whether you see the Detail Screen: Variable-size item data for a material item). You see these fields for class items on all detail screens, in the Item data dataset.
