Use

You can create, configure and manage server groups on this tab page. The purpose of such groups is described in the section entitled Configuring Update Groups.

Integration

Handling is considerably easier than with the method described in the section entitled Configuring Update Groups.

Prerequisites

The tab page Server groups is open in Update Program Administration (transaction SM14).

Features and Activities

In this screen, you can do the following:

To do this, choose Create group, and then enter the desired names in the resulting dialog box.

Select the desired group, and then click Delete group.

Select the desired group, choose Change group, and then make changes as required in the dialog box that opens.

You can assign servers to a group as follows:

  1. Select the group.
  2. Choose Display servers. The title of the list in the bottom left of the screen is now Server in group "<group name>".
  3. From the list Servers not assigned (in the bottom right of the screen), select the server you want to add to the group, and use the arrow buttons to either add the server to the group or remove a server from the group.

To access the overview of the configured update groups, choose Overview in the top right of the screen.
