
Confirming the Initial Sample
Use
When you receive the initial sample in the laboratory for testing, you must confirm its receipt. To confirm the initial sample, you execute a corresponding follow-up function in the action box. This causes the system to automatically:
You can only confirm the receipt of the initial sample once.

If a
digital signature is required to confirm the physical-sample drawing, the system will prompt you accordingly when you confirm the initial sample.
Confirming the initial sample is a prerequisite for recording inspection results during the initial test. You can, however, already plan and prepare the initial test after you have created the initial sample (regardless of whether or not you have confirmed the initial sample).
When you confirm the initial sample, the action is documented as a task in the quality notification.
Prerequisites
You have completed the following activities:
Procedure
The initial screen for changing a stability study appears.
The screen for changing the stability study data appears.
A dialog box for confirming the initial sample appears.
The system always proposes the current data as the date of receipt. Use the date of receipt to record the date that you received the initial sample. The date of receipt cannot lie in the future (that is, after the date of confirmation).
Result
The receipt of the initial sample has been confirmed and the status of the corresponding physical-sample record is set to Released.
You can now proceed with the
initial test, the next phase of the stability study process.
