Procedure

  1. Position the cursor on the point in your document template where you want to insert symbols with the Wizard. Make sure not to place the cursor within the table.
  2. Choose WWI ® Wizard.
  3. The Symbol Tree dialog box appears.

    There are several ways of influencing the result of the search in the symbol tree (see WWI: Using the Wizard).

  4. To insert a value assignment type as a heading on your report template, position the cursor in the symbol tree under Char. symbols on a node to which no characteristic symbols are assigned and choose OK.
  5. The Wizard Heading Options dialog box appears. In the Filter field, Word displays the text for the selected value assignment type as search criteria, such as Physical-chemical data.
  6. You can modify the text in the Filter field. Generic entries are accepted and the search is case sensitive.

  7. If you choose the Search function, all phrases in the SAP System that correspond to your search criteria are listed in the dialog box.
  8. Position the cursor on the phrase you want to use as a heading.
  9. Choose the required format for your heading in the Style field and choose OK.
  10. Word inserts the symbol for the phrase and formats the entry accordingly.
