You can not only import OMS definitions but also export them from your SAP System.

Exporting from one SAP System and importing into another is one way to move your R/3 OMS definitions between SAP Systems. However, you should use this procedure only in exceptional circumstances (a quick move between test systems, for example). The reason: it is easier to keep track of where you copy OMS definitions if you use the recommended "official" transport mechanism. See Transporting OMS Definitions Between Systems.

You can also use the export mechanism as a way to save your OMS definitions.

Prerequisites

You would like to move all or some of the objects that make up an R/3 OMS definition between SAP Systems.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the SAP System from which the OMS definition is to be exported.
  2. Choose Tools ® ABAP Workbench ® ABAP Editor. Alternative: Enter transaction SE38.
  3. Enter RSPOXOMS in the Program field and choose Execute.
  4. In the selection screen, do the following:
  1. Run the report.

The report displays a list showing the ROMS and LOMS definitions that have been exported from the SAP System in a host-system file.

Result

You have exported all or part of an OMS definition to a file. You can save the file as an informal means of backing up the OMS definition, or you can import the file into another system. See Importing OMS Definitions.
