Definition

See tax number.

Use

There are two tax numbers in Mexico that are relevant to the SAP System, the RFC number and the CURP number. For information about the structure of the CURP number, see Pers.details (0002): National features Mexico.

Customizing

Maintain your own RFC numbers in Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), by choosing Financial Accounting Global Settings ® Company Code ® Enter Global Parameters.

Master Data

If your customers or vendors are legal persons, enter their RFC numbers in their master records, in the Tax Number 1 field on the Control Data tab (customers) or on the Control Data screen (vendors), (see Structure linkCreating a Customer Master Record Centrally and Structure linkCreating a Vendor Master Record Centrally).

If your customer or vendor is a natural person, enter their RFC number, if they have one, in their master records, as described above. If they have a CURP number, enter it in the Tax Number 3 field and select Natural Person, to prevent the system from checking for an RFC number in the Tax Number 1 field.

Reporting

The system displays the RFC numbers in the Top Vendors Report and Top Customers Report.
