Integration

Caution

The Private Folder function is not available if you are using the version of SAP Query that is delivered by SAP. However, the delivery system includes an enhancement (SQUE0001) which allows all customers to add their own interactive functions. The Private Folder function is available in the SAP Query only if you (or your system administrator) implement and activate this enhancement. For more information, see Enhancement SQUE0001: Private Data Folder).

Use

The Private Folder function works in the same way as other standard interactive functions. It gathers the data from your query together in a table and then passes it to a function module written in the course of the enhancement. What happens to the data after this is up to you.

Note

The Private file function has largely been made obsolete with the introduction of the Additional function pool (see Additional Function Pool). SAP will continue to support the Private file function for reasons of compatibility. Nevertheless, it is recommended that you transfer the functions in the private folder to the additional function pool.

Note

Note that the functions in the additional function pool can be accessed only online and not during background processing. In contrast, contents of the private file CAN be called during background processing.
