b) Creating a position indicator for a class at securities account level

1. Enter the Company code, ID number and the Securities account.

2. ENTER

The Company code, Security number and the Product type are displayed at the top of the screen.

The remaining part of the screen is divided into two areas.

3. The upper part contains the entry fields for the position data for the Securities account position.

Here, you enter the securities account position data. If the position indicator already exists for the company code, the system takes the data from the company code as default values for the securities account position indicator.

You can overwrite the data.

Example

In the Asset grouping field, the asset grouping of the class at company code level appears as a default value. You can either:

- Take this value

- Choose a different asset group

- Delete the default value (if you do, the securities account position has no asset grouping).

Note

If the account assignment reference is dependent on the balance sheet indicator and/or the asset grouping, the entry for this field is mandatory.

  1. Define the valuation class. The system takes valuation class that was defined for the company code. The existing values are overwritten, however, when you define new ones.
  2. If the valuation class selected has the valuation category '20' or '22', you must assign the position to a securities account group.

Click the Assign securities account group or New securities account group pushbuttons.

  3. In the lower area of the screen you find the position data for the company code position.
  4. If the position indicator already exists for the company code, the company code data is displayed, but is cannot be changed.

  5. If the regulatory reporting function is active, you also have to enter BAV data.
  6. To do this, choose Goto ® Regulatory reporting.

  7. Save your entries.
  8. If you want to enter the position indicators for other positions, choose Position ® Other position. Follow the same procedure as the one described above.
